Bringing Massage to You

Bringing Massage to YouOn-site / Corporate days

Research has shown that office workers who have regular massages were more alert, performed better and were less stressed than those who weren't massaged. AMTA, 1999

It's no secret that stress and work-related illness costs the UK economy billions of pounds each year and recent figures from the CIPD show that the average level of employee absence stands at 8.4 days per year per employee, which equals £659 per employee per year - a big jump from last year's figure of £598.

Apart from taking time off for minor illnesses, such as colds and stomach upsets, the most common reasons for employee absence were stress and musculoskeletal disorders such as back pain.  In fact the CIPD research showed that more than 40 per cent of the organisations surveyed said that stress-related absences had increased in the past year.

Indian Head massage in your workplace is not only an enjoyable and convenient form of massage but is recognised as an effective way to help manage stress in the office environment.  I don’t use any oils, which is why the massage is received fully clothed. All I need you to do is to sit back and relax!

Immediate relief from work day stress!

The Indian Head Massage treatment is carried out to the upper back, across the shoulders, upper arms, neck and scalp – targeting all the areas most susceptible to tension and affected by long hours at a desk or computer.

What are the benefits?

The therapeutic effects of Indian Head Massage last long after the treatment is over. The short and long-term benefits are individual, varied and cumulative and can help to:

  • Relieve eyestrain and headaches
  • Improve concentration
  • Relieve physical and mental fatigue
  • Improve joint mobility
  • Relieve stress and muscular tension

As well as being a relaxing, it can also be an invigorating and refreshing experience. The recipient of the treatment will often report a 'balanced' feeling of peace and calm and will usually feel more alert and revitalised. It is not only an enjoyable and convenient form of massage but is recognised as an effective way to manage stress in the office environment.

Investment

The cost for an express 'stress-busting' twenty-minute session depends on the total number of sessions booked. Daytime rates range between £12.50 and £15.00 per session.

You can choose between three payment options:

  • The company pays the full amount
  • The individual pays
  • The company subsidises a certain percentage of the massage

Administration is easy!

I’ve found the simplest way to administer this is for me to provide the content for an awareness email.  This includes my email address for people to contact me with their preferred time(s), usually between: 11.30am – 5.00pm, 11.30am – 3.00pm, or lunchtime 12.00 – 2.00pm, or whatever suits the business. This goes out one week before I come in. Plus, I need a small office/meeting room to be booked where I can carry out the massage. I can also provide A4/A5 sized posters/flyers, if required.

I offer a complementary massage to the administrator.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

I understand that sometimes an appointment has to be changed or cancelled, therefore I do not charge for appointments that are cancelled by email or telephone at least twenty-four hours before the appointment time. This will allow me the opportunity to offer that appointment to another client. I do however have a standard charge of £10 for missed appointments or appointments which are cancelled with less than twenty-four hours notice.
